1)

The role of Mr Pink was initially going to be played by Tarantino who really liked the character. Quentin, however, also allowed other people to try for the part. Steve Bushemi's audition was so good that it convinced Tarantino to give up the role in favor of Bushemi.

2)

Since there was no production money available to pay for traffic enforcement during the carjacking scene, Bushemi had to time his driving away with the traffic light turning green.

3)

Mr Blond and Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction are brothers, the Vega brothers, according to Tarantino. There was a plan to make a movie about them, set before the events of Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs but the project was eventually discarded.

4)

Special effects make up artist Robert Kurtzman agreed to work on the movie as long as Tarantino promised to write the screenplay for the film From Dusk Till Dawn which was conceived by Kurtzman.

5)

Actor James Wood's agent received many offers from Tarantino who was adamant to have Woods in the movie. The agent deemed the cash offers not high enough and rejected them all without telling his client. When Wood found out he fired his agent. Rumor has it that the role that was offered to Wood was Mr Orange, eventually played by Tim Roth.

6)

During production, actor Lawrence Tierney was taken to jail for pointing a gun at his own nephew. Once released on bail, he went straight to set.

7)

Nobody got along well with Tierney since he was very unprofessional, messing up his lines and not concentrating during filming. This behaviour led Tarantino to fire him after three days.

8)

The iconic diner scene was created by Tarantino to give Mr Blue, played by Eddie Bunker, the chance to speak in the movie since he was the only character with no actual dialogue.

9)

The heist itself is not shown in the movie mostly because it would have been too expensive to film. However, Tarantino was also a fan of the film technique of not showing an event central to the plot and leaving it to the audience's imagination. Same as in the movie Glengarry Glen Ross where we never see the robbery that is central to the plot.

10)

True Romance director Tony Scott read the screenplays of Reservoir Dogs and True Romance, both written by Tarantino. Afterwards, he told Tarantino that he was keen on directing Reservoir Dogs. However, Tarantino wanted Reservoir Dogs for himself and convinced Scott to take True Romance.
